The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has unveiled the first Volkswagen vehicle to be assembled in Ghana, following the establishment of the VW assembly plant in Ghana.
The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia says pragmatic social intervention policies introduced by the government of President Akufo-Addo has contributed significantly to building an inclusive nation, which is leaving no one behind.
“I indicated that one of the reasons for the creation of the new Regions was to accelerate the process of development to all parts of the country. So, you can understand my excitement at the commencement of the Damongo Water Supply Project, because the pledge of extending development to all parts of Ghana is unfolding.”
Government has procured and distributed 100 buses to a number of Senior High Schools, with a further 250 on the way, in the ongoing fulfillment of President Akufo-Addo’s commitment not only to increase access, but also to ensure that complementary resources are provided to enable the delivery of quality education to Ghanaians.
