The wife of the President, Mrs. Lordina Dramani Mahama, over the weekend took her HIV & AIDS and Breast Cancer prevention activities to the Central and Western Regions. Under the auspices of the Organization of African First Ladies against HIV & AIDS (OAFLA) and her organisation the Lordina Foundation, Mrs. Mahama has been working with the Ghana AIDS Commission to eliminate Mother-to-Child Transmission of HIV.

President John Dramani Mahama and his wife, Lordina Mahama, will on Thursday pay a courtesy call on Queen Elizabeth II at the Buckingham Palace in London. Queen Elizabeth II, Head of State of the United Kingdom is also the constitutional monarch of fifteen other countries and Head of the Commonwealth, of which Ghana is a member.

President John Mahama has expressed optimism that there will be a positive turnaround in the fight against the Ebola Virus Disease. The totality of ongoing international efforts, Mr Mahama noted, will contribute positively to addressing the current menace.
