The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), on Monday, 3rd July, 2017, named the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, as the “AU Gender Champion” for 2017.

Ghana and Ethiopia have pledged to work towards strengthening the ties of co-operation that exist between them, after the Presidents of the two countries expressed satisfaction with the current state of the relations between them.

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo says there is nothing to fear in the election of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives, as this would, rather, lead to the deepening of the country’s democracy and ensure better accountability.

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on Tuesday, July 4, 2017, appended his signature to eight Treaties, Protocols and Charters of the African Union, on the side-lines of the 29th AU Summit currently on-going in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has advised the 199 approved Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives to avoid conflicts with sitting Members of Parliament, as this frustrates the work of government.
