PRESS RELEASE

President John Atta Mills has left Accra for Abuja, Nigeria for a three day visit. He was accompanied by the Foreign and Information Ministers, Alhaji Mohammed Mumuni and John Akologo Tia.

The President was seen off by the Vice president John Dramani Mahama, Chief of Staff, John Henry Martey-Newman, Minister of Defence Lt. General Henry Smith and the Chief of the Defence Staff, Brigadier General Peter Blay.

While in Nigeria, President Mills will attend the swearing in and inauguration of Goodluck Jonathan as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and later hold discussions with him.

The President will return on Monday.
