President Commends Armed Forces For Ivory Coast Display
His Excellency President John Evans Atta Mills has congratulated the Ghana Armed Forces for their exceptional display of artistry and performance at the Investiture of President Alhassane Outarra.
The President hosted the delegation of Military high command led by Chief of Defense Staff Lt. Gen. Peter Blay and the Minister of Defense at a special ceremony held in the Castle, Osu.
The delegation was composed of Military Officers who led the team to Ivory Coast during last Saturday’s Investiture.
The President expressed pride and gratitude to the Officers for their wonderful performance.
He said, “I sat next to President Outarra and I felt very proud looking at the beauty of the display by your team”.
The President however apologized to the delegation for some inconvenience they faced on their arrival at the Ivory Coast Airport.
He assured them that plans are far advanced to procure an aircraft from Brazil for the military, which will help ameliorate such occurrences in future.
President Mills held a closed door meeting with the delegation after an interaction with media.
