Bravo To Prez Mills For Ignoring Akufo-Addo!
Am I happy that President Atta Mills paid no attention to the presence of, proud; haughty; abrasive; egoistic; and abusive Akufo-Addo at the recent Fetu Afahye Festival?
Yes; I am more than happy!
Indeed, I was so excited and ended up being on cloud 9 for a very long time.
What business did our President have greeting or acknowledging the presence of somebody who failed to rig the 2008 election?
Some of us have not forgotten how Akufo-Addo aided his nephew, Atta Akyea, to attempt to throw Ghana into a state of war and chaos via that wicked attempt to get a court to sit on 1st January, 2009, to try and bar the EC from declaring Professor Atta Mills the winner of the 2008 election.
Honestly, some of us are very sick and tired of Akufo-Addo’s desperate attempt to get the kind of attention he does not deserve.
For how long will President Mills continue to be magnanimous and gracious in his dealing with these nation wreckers and looting brigade only for them to turn their back and insult the President?
President Atta Mills has done everything humanly possible to let NPP elements understand that politics is a contest of ideas and not war but the more humane the President is, the more Akufo-Addo and his gang heap insults on the President.
So now, the battle lines are drawn; if they will not show respect to the President, they should not expect any respect from the President.
Yes, why should President Atta Mills pay any attention to Akufo-Addo when one of his close “aides”, Ursula Owusu, keeps insulting President Atta Mills minute-by-minute.
Akufo-Addo is the flagbearer of the NPP and nothing else. It is about time that the NDC Government takes the bull by the horn and stop being unnecessarily nice to the NPP. All the attempt to be nice to the NPP must stop forthwith.
The NPP does not seem to appreciate the Father For All agenda of President Atta Mills and so our President must stop trying to be nice to them.
Akufo-Addo deliberately arrived late at the durbar grounds hoping that he will be given the chance to walk around, feel good, and upstage the President.
Akufo-Addo was not at Cape Coast to join the chiefs and people celebrate their festival; He was there to hopefully bloat his ego.
Akufo-Addo thought he could walk in and steal the show and some of us thank God that his parochial agenda fell flat on its face.
The Oguaa Traditional Council was not about to allow Akufo-Addo to have his way and he was put in his right and proper place.
Akufo-Addo is too full of himself and we are sick and tired of his arrogant posturing.
What does Akufo-Addo have that the rest of us don’t have such that he thinks that he is a better human being than every other human being on earth?
It is funny the way the NPP continues to say that President Mills won by only 40,000 votes and so in 2012, they will win.
Ha! Ha! Ha!
They think the NDC will sit idly by and allow the NPP to do the kinds of things they did in 2008 huh?
Does the NPP honestly think the NDC will allow them to hijack the mandate in 2012?
They must be a bunch of jokers and dreamers.
As for me, I have always loved and respected President Atta Mills but my love and respect has reached higher heights because of the way he ignorde Akufo-Addo and paid no attention to him.
Mr. President, we are begging you to ignore all those people who are misleading you and making you think that you must continue to be nice to the NPP.
If they are nice to you, you can be nice to them but to the extent that they misconstrue your niceness to mean weakness and spinelessness, pleas sir, ignore them and do what a man has to do.
President John Evans Atta Mills, please continue to ignore them and snub them if they continue to misbehave and treat you like dirt.
After all, one good turn deserves another!
As for Akufo-Addo, I am sure he will continue to have nightmares and will think twice before setting foot in Cape Coast next year for the Fetu Afahye Festival.
