The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has presented forty (40) armoured personnel carriers to the Ghana Armed Forces, as part of Government’s efforts to retool and equip the military.

“As most of you know, Ghana is a haven of peace, security and stability, indeed, the safest country in West Africa, where legitimate investments are protected. We have witnessed, through the ballot box, three (3) peaceful transfers of power from one political party to another in the twenty-eight (28) year period of the 4th Republic.”

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has reiterated Government’s support for the work of the Public Interest and Public Interest and Accountability Committee (PIAC), the organisation tasked with monitoring and evaluating compliance with the Petroleum Revenue and Management Act (PRMA) by government and other relevant institutions in the management and use of petroleum revenues and investments.

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, says a very important plank of the new strategic partnership between Africa, Spain and Europe would be the strong support for the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), which began trading on 1st January.

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has appealed to the leadership and membership of the Trades Union Congress and Organised Labour to assist Government in the country’s post-COVID-19 economic recovery efforts.
