Ghana and the US have renewed their resolve to jointly fight drug trafficking, money laundering, piracy and terrorism. The two nations are also to collaborate to tackle all other cross-border crimes.
This came to light when the Attorney General of the US Eric Holder paid a courtesy call on President Mills at the Blair House in Washington DC. He attributed the success of the two nations in combating these crimes to the law enforcement relations and co-operation between them.
The Managing Director of the IMF, Christine Lagarde led a team of Executive Directors to the Blair House for a meeting with H.E. John Evans Atta Mills, President of the Republic of Ghana.
President Mills this afternoon (Wednesday) joined the Coach, Officials and Playing body of the Ghana Black Stars via speaker phone, and on behalf of the Government and People of Ghana motivated the team ahead of this afternoon's Semi Final game against Zambia.
